Learning from Nature


Boy, do I love to be outside. It seems like I’m always craving more and more time in nature, and lately I’m learning more and more about what it’s actually doing for me, beyond the obvious beauty and serenity.

There is a sense of refreshment in trading the more stressful input of technology and other pulls on attention in favor of the energy of plants, rocks, and water. And if we are intentional about it, we can go deeper, to just simply move through nature, but really be in and with nature.

In this video, I unpack some ideas and invitations for being present in nature and discuss how it meets some of our essential human needs.
