Therapy with Katie Dutcher, AMFT

As a therapist and mindfulness teacher, I offer a space for individuals navigating life transitions, stress, identity exploration, or the deep desire to reconnect with themselves.

My approach is warm, intuitive, and collaborative—rooted in presence, curiosity, and respect for your unique process.

I bring a background in meditation, mindful outdoor guiding, and trauma-informed care to our work together. Whether you’re looking for help with anxiety, grief, burnout, or the ongoing work of healing your relationship with yourself or others, I’m here to support you.

I draw from humanistic, psychodynamic, and somatic approaches—creating a warm, supportive space for growth while helping you explore the deeper patterns and past experiences that may be shaping your present. With mindfulness and body awareness woven throughout our work, I’ll support you in reconnecting with yourself in ways that feel more at ease, whole, grounded, and alive.

I'm a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of a licensed clinician. I also lead mindfulness-based groups and bring a strong foundation in teaching practices that support nervous system regulation and self-compassion.

If you're curious about working together, I’d love to hear from you.

Approach

I am a Qualified Teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and a Certified Mindful Outdoor Guide, and I’ve spent much of my adult life as a teacher and learner. Some of my best tools are curiosity, openness, positivity, flexibility.

I bring sensitivity, empathy, compassion, and a wish to be of service. I also bring my self and my history, which includes grief, career transitions, and experience in working with my own anxiety, people-pleasing, and self-judgement. I’ve come a long way, and I am still in the midst of my own journey… in other words, I’m working with some of the same things you are. I believe that offering my own vulnerability and authenticity therapy can help normalize emotions and thoughts that can feel isolating. In my own life, one of my main desires is to see clearly in service of growth, even when growth feels painful.
