What we ARE about:

This is a space for encouragement, self-compassion, exploration, vulnerability, authenticity, nourishment, support.

We celebrate each other’s triumphs. We bear witness to each other’s pain and challenges. We offer support and compassionate listening.

We are strong in intention, oriented toward learning and trying new things in service of truth and light.

We are fierce in self-compassion, balancing acceptance and growth. We honor the non-linear, spiral pattern of growth, and we refuse to abandon ourselves, especially when the going gets tough.

What we are NOT about:

This is not a space for shame, judgement, comparison, or “tough love.” We recognize that each one of us is showing up as best we can in our own unique life. We are warmly welcomed to show up as we are in each moment.

This is not a space for advice-giving, unless it is asked for. We recognize that part of our journey of healing and growth is learning to trust ourselves, learning from our missteps and our wandering. We offer each other the spaciousness and support to carve our own path.

This is not a space for “positive vibes only” or superficial positivity. We recognize that our day-to-day experience is multifaceted and complex. We are big enough to allow that pain, loss, heartache are important elements of the human experience, just as joy, delights, and gratitude are. We welcome all parts and we hold space for each other.

We are seekers.

We are creating, in each moment, a life that is

  • Intentional, mindful, and centered

  • Alive to possibility and growth

  • Resilient and meaning-making

We’re learning to know and appreciate ourselves more completely.

We’re giving ourselves permission to be authentic, vulnerable, and whole.

We’re growing and transforming steadily, little by little.

We’re unifying how we WANT to be and how we ARE being, matching behavior to values.

We’re making meaning of our experience through reflection.

We’re creating the conditions which allow us to flourish and be well.

This is a joyous, lifegiving process, AND it isn’t always easy!

It requires seeing new truths, changing long-held habits of mind, and often it requires being contrary to what others are doing, or challenging the status quo.

This is why it’s so helpful to be in an intentional community.
